A few years ago while my husband was going through his graduate program at Baylor I was able to meet some of my favorite people in the world. The friends we met in Texas became our family when family was literally on the other side of the country! Kristin was no exception. She is probably one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I love getting to talk with Kristin about life, family, and God. Each are so important to her and it is so easy to feel her kindness in every word. This past summer we found out that our paths would again cross but this time in Oklahoma. When my family moved here I was 34 weeks pregnant and having complications. Kristin asked after me, offered meals once I had the baby, and has been so kind in inviting us to different events in order to meet new people and feel welcome. Personally moving somewhere new is difficult. As a small business owner, it was DIFFICULT. Being new to Oklahoma came with many challenges but coming as a photographer made me feel a little like something I had worked so hard for, something I had dreamed of was about to possibly drift away. Rebuilding my client list, finding new locations, meeting vendors and the list goes on and on for things I was afraid of having to do in a new place. Without friends like Kristin who were willing to help me get started here I would be no where close to where I am today. I could not have asked for a better “first” session here in Oklahoma.
The couple, the lighting, the clothing– everything for this session was perfect. The way Kristin and Jon interacted, laughed, and simply help each other showed their love for one another. Their relationship was the sweetest thing to watch and capture. Getting to witness this love first hand is my favorite thing about what I get to do. Being able to not only see but feel the love a couple shares is such a unique and special thing. I truly am honored to get to witness the love my clients share. It’s a beautiful thing and I will never tire of watching love grow and develop.
